Nurses from American hospital visited the school and conducted the session on healthy hygiene practices. Our school doctor Dr Youssra and American hospital nurses demonstrated the different steps on how to wash hands. Students participated in the session and exhibited how to wash hand thoroughly.

"Sustainability in Science: Nurturing a Greener Future during Science Week 2023! Embracing sustainability as we explored the wonders of our world. Year 1 students embarked on a journey towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, we innovated, educated, and ignited change to take a giant leap towards a brighter to make a lasting impact. The students were thrilled to explore the various facts through the experiments. They created wonderful diorama liaising with the theme ‘’One Tree One Life’’ and spoke about them. Students of Year 1 expressed gestures of thanks and appreciation on World Gratitude Day. Students were encouraged to inculcate good habits and bring positive changes in one's life. Students wrote about the things that made them feel grateful. Students of Year 1 had celebrated English week. The theme was "Superhero - Earth Saviours." Children expressed their ideas on how to preserve Earth through various methods. Different activities were organised ,parents enthusiastically involved in the event and appreciated planned activities, parents created poems and slogans on how to save the planet. Children were very excited to sing and dance on climate change song. On International Literacy Day children were made aware of the importance of reading and writing from an early age. Students were made to appreciate the importance of education in their life. Students from Year 1 were ecstatic to make greeting cards to celebrate the different cultures of UAE. They were fascinated to learn different words used for greetings. Year 1 classrooms were buzzing with enthusiasm.  International Charity Day, celebrated on 5th September every year, highlights the significance of charitable acts, both large and small, in addressing crucial global challenges and making the world a better place. On this day, we are reminded that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can have a huge impact on someone's life. Students of Year 1 have suggested ways on how they can help and contribute to charity. A new academic session is a new beginning and holds new friendships and new challenges. Year 1 students were super excited for the upcoming year, as it holds new learning opportunities and adventures. We at Winchester School are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all our students as they embark on this exciting learning journey with us. They were happy to receive greetings cards from their teachers and enjoyed doing team building and STEAM activities. The school tour made them aware of the various areas of the school campus and experiencing the music and PE lessons were the most fun hours for them. We look forward to guide and support each student while they grow and develop their knowledge and skills. Our team is committed in providing a safe and fun filled learning experience for the students. Welcome back to school first graders😊 |
